| Description | PRRT2 is a transmembrane protein containing a proline-rich domain in its N-terminal half. Studies in mice suggest that it is predominantly expressed in brain and spinal cord in embryonic and postnatal stages. Mutations in this gene are associated with paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia. Almost one third of sporadic PKC patients also carry PRRT2 mutations. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-268 from human PRRT2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~29.7kD (291aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
