| Description | GAT2 is a gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) transporter. It is a 602 amino acid (85kD) transmembrane protein (1). A 15aa synthetic peptide (designated as GAT21-P; control peptide) near the C-terminus of rat GAT2 was selected for antibody production. The 15 AA rat peptide was found unique to GAT2 without significant homology to any other known eukaryotic protein. 100% homologous in mouse and rat GAT2. | ||
