| Description | RAMP3, also known as receptor activity modifying protein 3, is a member of the RAMP family of single-transmembrane-domain proteins, called receptor (calcitonin) activity modifying proteins (RAMPs). It is required to transport calcitonin-receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane. CRLR can function as either a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor, depending on which members of the RAMP family are expressed. In the presence of this (RAMP3) protein, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human RAMP3, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~13.0kD (116aa) (MALDI-TOF) AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MRAGGCNETG MLERLPLCGK AFADMMGKVD VWKWCNLSEF IVYYESFTNC TEMEANVVGC YWPNPLAQGF ITGIHRQFFS NCTVDRVHLE DPPDEV Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
