| Description | Lipocalin-2 (LCN-2), a secreted glycoprotein, is an adipokine that potentially connects obesity and its related adipose inflammation. Lipocalin-2 has also been implicated in a variety of processes including cell differentiation, tumorigenesis, and apoptosis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to 178aa (aa21-198, Accession# NP_00555) from human Lipocalin-2, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~20kD Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
