| Description | The Trefoil Factor peptides (TFF1, TFF2 and TFF3) are expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, and appear to play an important role in intestinal mucosal defense and repair. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Trefoil Factor 1, a homodimeric protein consisting of two 60aa polypeptide chains, which includes a 40aa trefoil motif containing three conserved intramolecular disulfide bonds, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~13.2kD (60aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to activate ERK1/2 (a MAPkinase signaling molecule) using a concentration 1-2ug/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >500IU/mg. Endotoxin: <1EU/mg (LAL) AA Sequence: EAQTETCTVA PRERQNCGFP GVTPSQCANK GCCFDDTVRG VPWCFYPNTI DVPPEEECEF Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
