| Description | Found in the gastrointestinal tract, the three Trefoil proteins, TFF1, 2, and 3 have been shown to play an important role in intestinal mucosal defense and repair. Specifically, TFF1 is essential for normal differentiation of the antral and pyloric gastric mucosa and functions as a gastric-specific tumor suppressor gene. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human TFF1 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~6.9kD Biological Activity: The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of MCF7 cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
