Description			Found in the gastrointestinal tract, the three Trefoil proteins, TFF1, 2, and 3 have been shown to play an important role in intestinal mucosal defense and repair. In addition to being expressed by goblet cells and in the uterus, TFF3 has also been shown to express in certain cancers providing a potential use as a molecular marker for those cancers. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human TFF3 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~6.8kD Biological Activity: The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of KTC cells and was found to be <0.5ng/mL. Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
