| Description | Human FAK (GenBank Accession No. L13616), (a.a. 411-686) with N-terminal GST tag, Unit Defination: One unit is defined as the amount of FAK that will transfer 1nmol phosphate to tyrosine substrate per minute at pH 7.4 and 30°C Assay buffer: 50mM HEPES, pH 7.4, 3mM MgCl2, 3mM MnCl2, 1mM DTT, 3uM Naorthovanadate, 0.1mM ATP, 30ug/ml Poly (Glu:Tyr)4:1 substrate, and 0.04ug recombinant FAK Specific Activity: ~100 U/mg. Application: Suitable in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Storage and Stability: For long term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. | ||
