Description TrkC is a member of the tropomyosin-related kinase receptor family. TrkC is a membrane-bound receptor that upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. TrkC is the receptor for neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). Signalling through TrkC leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in the development of proprioceptive neurons that sense body position. TrkC is a heavily glycosylated molecule with 13 potential N-linked glycosylation sites within the extracellular domain.  Source: TrkC-Fc Chimera, from human DNA sequence encoding the signal peptide and extracellular domain of human TrkC aa1-428 was fused to the Fc region of human IgG1 aa93-330. The chimeric protein was expressed in modified human 293 cells. Molecular Weight: ~85kD-150kD with post-translational modification and ~71.9kD unmodified. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
