| Description | Sentrin-2 also known as SUMO-3 is a novel ubiquitin-like protein that can be conjugated to other proteins in a manner analogous to ubiquitination. It is a 95 amino acid peptide that is 46% identical and 66% homologous to sentrin-1. Sentrin interacts with the death domains of Fas, TNFR1, PML, Rad51 and Rad52 which are involved in repairing dsDNA breaks, and with GAP1.
