| Description | Otubain 1, also known as OTUB1, is a member of the OUT (ovarian tumor) superfamily of predicted cysteine proteases and inhibits cytokine gene transcription in the immune system via its interaction with a ubiquitin protease and E3 ubiquitin ligase. This protein is a highly specific ubiquitin iso-peptidase, and cleaves ubiquitin from branched poly-ubiquitin chains but not from ubiquitinated substrates. It is proposed to function in specific ubiquitin-dependent pathways, possibly by providing an editing function of polyubiquitin chain growth. Recombinant OTUB1 protein , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
