Description Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase isozyme L5 (UCHL5) belongs to the peptidase C12 family. This protein is protease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains, and deubiquitinating enzyme associated with the 19S regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-329 of human UCHL5, fused with His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
