Description UCHL5 is a member of the peptidase C12 family. It is a protease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains, and is the deubiquitinating enzyme related to the 19S regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-329 from human UCHL5, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~39.7kD (349aa, aa1-329 + NT His Tag) Biological Activity: Specific activity: >500pmole/min/ug. Measured by the hydrolysis of Ubiquitin-AMC at pH 8.0, at 37°C.
