| Description | Protein Gene Product (PGP9.5) is a neuron specific protein, structurally and immunologically distinct from neuron specific enolase. The protein, which has a molecular weight 27kD was first defined by high resolution two dimetional PAGE. Standard immunohistochemical techniques have demonstrated the presence of PGP9.5 in neurons and nerve fibers at all levels of the central and peripheral nervous system, in many neurodcrine cells, in segments of the renal tubules, in spermatogonia and leyding cells of the testis, in ova and in some cells of both the pregnant and non pregnant corpus luteum. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to full length human PGP9.5, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~36kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Inhibition Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
