| Description | Has no ubiquitin ligase activity on its own. The UBE2V2/UBE2N heterodimer catalyzes the synthesis of non-canonical poly-ubiquitin chains that are linked through 'Lys-63'. This type of poly-ubiquitination does not lead to protein degradation by the proteasome. Mediates transcriptional activation of target genes. Plays a role in the control of progress through the cell cycle and differentiation. Plays a role in the error-free DNA repair pathway and contributes to the survival of cells after DNA damage. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa2-145 from human UBE2V2, fused to His-SUMO-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~32.2kD AA Sequence: AVSTGVKVPRNFRLLEELEEGQKGVGDGTVSWGLEDDEDMTLTRWTGMIIGPPRTNYENRIYSLKVECGPKYPEAPPSVRFVTKINMNGINNSSGMVDARSIPVLAKWQNSYSIKVVLQELRRLMMSKENMKLPQPPEGQTYNN Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
