| Description | FBXO2 is a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40aa motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. This protein belongs to the Fbxs class. It is highly similar to the rat NFB42 (neural F Box 42kD) protein which is enriched in the nervous system and may play a role in maintaining neurons in a postmitotic state. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-296 from human FBXO2, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~35.7kD (319aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
