| Description | Vitronectin is a cell adhesion and spreading factor found in serum and tissues. Vitronectin interact with glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans. Is recognized by certain members of the integrin family and serves as a cell-to-substrate adhesion molecule. Inhibitor of the membrane-damaging effect of the terminal cytolytic complement pathway. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-459 from human Vitronectin, expressed serum-free in a human cell line. Molecular Weight: ~800kD (HMS), ~120kD (reduced dimer), ~65kD (monomer) Activity: Tested in cell attachment and cell spreading assays Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: with specific polyclonal antiserum Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
