| Description | This protein belongs to the Wnt family of proteins. The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins involved in the Wnt signaling pathway. Wnt gene family members, including Wnt-1 through Wnt-10, play a key role in regulating cellular growth and differentiation. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Wnt-2 is expressed in brain in the thalamus, in fetal and adult lung and in the placenta. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Wnt-2, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~39.9kD Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
