| Description | Human FAP (GenBank Accession No. NM_004460), (aa29-end) with C-terminal His tag, expressed in a Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system. Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP) is a cell surface glycoprotein of reactive human fibroblasts. Among the normal adult organs tested, F4208-50H does not show immunoreactivity in immunohistological studies with either resting fibroblasts (fibrocytes) of the normal origin mesenchyme or the parenchymal cells. The single exception noted is a subset of endocrine cells in the pancreatic islets, presumably glucagon-producing A cells. Specific Activity: ~10pmol/min/ug Assay Buffer: 50mM Tris pH 7.5, 10mM MgCl2, 1mM MnCl2, 20uM substrate (A-P-AMC) Assay conditions: Incubate 10 minutes at RT. Applications: Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors and selectivity profiling. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. | ||
