| Description | Loading dye for DNA markers and samples on agarose or polyacrylamide gels. It contains three dyes for easy visual tracking. he optimized solution contains three dyes: bromophenol blue, xylene cyanol FF and orange G for visual three-color tracking of DNA migration during electrophoresis. The presence of glycerol in the solution ensures that the same sample forms a layer at the bottom of the well; the EDTA included in the solution binds divalent metal ions and inhibits metal dependent nucleases. Recommended Dilutions: Add 1:5 of L3350-01 to DNA sample; mix 1 volume of dye with 5 volumes of DNA sample. In 1% agarose gels bromophenol blue comigrates with ~300bp fragment, xylene cyanol FF - with ~4000bp fragment and Orange G co-migrates with smallest fragments, i.e. ~50 bp. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | ||
