| Description | The E.coli derived 39kD recombinant protein is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain, containing the HIV-1 p24 gag immunodominant regions, aa77-436. The HIV-1 p24 gag is fused to beta-galactosidase (114kD). Specificity: Immunoreactive with all sera of HIV-I infected individuals. Applications: Antigen in ELISA and Western Blot, excellent antigen for early detection of HIV seroconvertors with minimal specificity problems. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
