Description | Full length Recombinant HCV 70kD envelope-GST fusion protein produced in the Baculovirus Expression System. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the leading causes of chronic liver diseases and B-lymphocyte proliferative disorders, including mixed cryoglobulinemia and B-cell lymphoma. It has been suggested that HCV infects human cells through the interaction of its envelope glycoprotein E2 with a tetraspanin molecule CD81, the putative viral receptor. Recognizes murine monoclonal antibodies of defined epitope specificity and HCV converted human serum polyclonal antibodies in ELISA and Western Blot. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, T-cell activation and Immunization. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: yields titers of 1:1000 or greater at 10-100ng of immobilized protein under standard ELISA conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
