| Description | Parainfluenza virus 3 is one of four serotypes of parainfluenza viruses in the paramoxyvirus family. Parainfluenza viruses are the second most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections in young children. Parainfluenza virus 3 is associated with bronchiolitis and pneumonia. Source: Parainfluenza virus 3, III V2932 strain from MA 104 cells Inactivation: Inactivated with 0.05% Thimerosal Applications: Suitable for use in serological studies of parainfluenza virus, immunogen for antibody production. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
