Description | Contains the HDV immunodominant region. Does not contain a fusion partner. Immunoreactive with HDV positive sera. Hepatitis D virus (HDV) is caused by a small circular RNA virus. It is the only member of the genus Deltaviridae. HDV is unusual because it can propagate only in the presence of another virus, the hepatitis B virus (HBV). There are two methods of HDV infection. Transmission occurs either via simultaneous infection with HBV or via infection of an individual previously infected with HBV. Both infections with HDV results in more severe complications compared to infection with HBV alone. Source: E. coli Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
