Description | Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is one of the leading causes of chronic liver diseases and B-lymphocyte proliferative disorders, including mixed cryoglobulinemia and B-cell lymphoma. It has been suggested that HCV infects human cells through the interaction of its envelope glycoprotein E2 with a tetraspanin molecule CD81, the putative viral receptor. Source: HCV E1 expressed in E. coli. MW:27kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
