Description | Acute HIV-1 infection presents in the majority of cases as a transient symptomatic flu-like illness, associated with high levels of HIV-1 replication and a virus-specific immune response. It therefore is important to make a diagnosis in cases of fever of unknown origin. There are no HIV-1-specific antibodies detectable at this early stage of infection and the diagnosis therefore requires specific laboratory tests for the detection of HIV-1 antigen. Source: Recombinant from Baculovirus Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Lateral Flow. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
