Description | Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. In cell culture experiments and mice Morpholino antisense oligos have shown specific activity against Dengue virus. The polyvalent dengue antigen consists of 20% recombinant antigen from each of the dengue subtypes in their composition. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to polyvalent dengue antigen, type 1-4 envelope, NS domains, expressed in E. coli Specificity: Recognizes all four dengue subtypes. The sensitivity and specificity could reach ~93% and ~96% in dengue IgG and IgM ELISA assay. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
