Description HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen. Recombinant HbsAg ayw full length is a 24kD protein cloned from HBV 320 genome. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to full-length HBsAg, expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisae. Molecular Weight: ~24kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA (with anti-HBsAg antibodies (capture and conjugate)), Immunochromatography (capture and conjugate) and as an Immunogen for monoclonal antibody production. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
