Description			Astrovirus belongs to the Astroviridae viral family. It is a single stranded RNA virus in a non-enveloped icosahedral capsid. In humans, Astrovirus causes gastroenteritis, characterised by diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, fever and abdominal pain. Infection is common, usually not severe and often asymptomatic. Concentrated source of Astrovirus particles and Astrovirus proteins from a lysate of host cells. Source: Inactivated astrovirus type 1, strain A88/2 Activity: This product has been rendered inactive by standard procedures. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
