Description Hepatitis C virus genotype 1 is a core protein packages viral RNA to form a viral nucleocapsid, and promotes virion budding. It modulates viral translation initiation by interacting with HCV IRES and 40S ribosomal subunit and also regulates many host cellular functions such as signaling pathways and apoptosis. It prevents the establishment of cellular antiviral state by blocking the interferon-alpha/beta (IFN-alpha/beta) and IFN-gamma signaling pathways and by inducing human STAT1 degradation. NS5B is a RNA-dependent RNA polymerase that plays an essential role in the virus replication. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa2634-2752 from HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) NS5b, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~17kD (155aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
