Description | The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), also called human Herpes virus 4 (HHV-4), is a virus of the herpes family and is one of the most common viruses in humans. It is best known as the cause of infectious mononucleosis. It is also associated with particular forms of cancer, particularly Hodgkin's lymphoma, Burkitt's lymphoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and central nervous system lymphomas associated with HIV. Source: Epstein-Barr Viral Capsid, gp125, from P3H3 (Prolyl 3-Hydroxylase 3) Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, CLIA and Lateral Flow. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Inactivation: Inactivated during manufacturing process Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
