Description | Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. In cell culture experiments and mice Morpholino antisense oligos have shown specific activity against Dengue virus. The expressed protein contains neutralizing epitopes and receptor binding domain, it has been used in the study for vaccine development. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to Dengue Type-1 envelope, fused to 6x His-Tag, at C-terminal expressed in E coli. Molecular Weight: ~15kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
