Description | This Bordetella pertussis toxin has been developed in response to the increasing pressure on the IVD industry to supply highly specific, cost-effective antibody capture systems, which are needed for monitoring vaccination programs. FHA, a major cause of false results, is removed from the preparation by two rounds of chromatography. Bordetella pertussis is grown in batch culture, then the supernatant harvested and concentrated. Several rounds of chromatography are used to purify the native toxin to a very high level and with minimal lot-to-lot variation. CHO cell assays demonstrate a clustering concentration of between 0.01 and 0.005 ng/ml. Source: Purified pertussis toxin from B. pertussis strain NC10739/ACTC 9797, from culture Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
