Description Dengue Virus Serotype 3 NS1 protein has been manufactured in response to the unmet need for highly purified, concentrated proteins for use in vaccine development (including use as an immunogen) and serological based diagnostic assays. Dengue Virus Serotype 3 NS1 protein is engineered on human cell lines using state-of-the-art expression techniques. The resultant hexameric presentation is believed to be the biologically active form of NS1 involved in key aspects of dengue pathogenesis. Dengue Virus Serotype 3 NS1 protein is purified to a high degree, are in their native folding state, and possess all post-translational modifications. This advanced approach results in a product which delivers optimal antigenicity due to its human origin. With more than one-third of the world’s population living in areas at risk of transmission, dengue infection is a leading cause of illness and death in the tropics and subtropics. As many as 100 million people are infected yearly. Dengue is caused by any one of four related viruses transmitted by mosquitoes. There are no vaccines available to prevent infection with dengue virus. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to Sri Lanka D3/H//IMTSSA-SRI/2000/1266 strain of Dengue Virus Serotype 3 NS1, fused to His-Tag at C-termina, expressed in 293 human cells. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
