Description | The antigen preparation contains a high concentration of virus and viral components as well as some cellular material in MEM. Source: Adenovirus, strain Adenoid 6, from MRC-5. Applications: Suitable for use in both IgG and IgM detection in assays which include EIA with polystyrene and latex solid phases. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Inactivation: Adenovirus antigen is inactivated using gamma radiation. This procedure is effective primarily by damaging viral genetic material. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
