Description The virulence of EBOV may be partially attributed to the Ebola virus secreted glycoprotein (sGP), which is the main product transcribed from its GP gene. Ebola virus secreted glycoprotein is secreted from infected cells and can be readily detected in the serum of EBOV-infected hosts. Mature sGP is produced from a precursor by proteolytic cleavage by host cell proteases such as furin. sGP monomers bind to each other to form a homodimer. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to Ile33-Arg324 from Ebolavirus BDBV Small/secreted Glycoprotein (sGP), fused to C-terminal 6xHis-tag, produced in HEK293 cells. Subtype: Bundibugyo Strain: Uganda 2007 Molecular Weight: ~34.3kD Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
