Description | Pure Griffonia simplicifolia lectin (GS -I), conjugated to FITC FITC/Protein Ratio: 2.15 Carbohydrate Specificity: Melibiose, a-D-Galactose Inhibitory Carbohydrate: a-Galactose Activity: 20-30ug/ml is required to agglutinate fresh type B blood cells. Lectin activity against all blood types increases after neuraminidase treatment of the cells. Note: Calcium is required for binding. 0.5mM calcium is the maximum concentration in buffer that will not form a white precipitate. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. |
