| Description | Recombinant sTREM-1 comprises a 180 amino acid fragment (21-200) corresponding to mature soluble extracellular domain fragment of TREM-1 and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. TREM-1 is a transmembrane receptor protein involved in monocytic activation and in the inflammatory response. It is expressed on the surface of neutrophils, mature monocytes and macrophages. The expression of the soluble form of TREM-1 increases during sepsis and can therefore be used as a biological marker for septic shock. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
