| Description | VAPA is a type IV membrane protein, present in the plasma membrane, intracellular vesicles and may also be associated with the cytoskeleton. This protein is a SNARE regulator with high levels of expression in the intestine during late embryogenesis and early neonatal development. VAPA may function in vesicle trafficking, membrane fusion, protein complex assembly and cell motility. Recombinant VAPA protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-227 from human VAPA, expressed in E.coli. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
