| Description | CADM1 mediates homophilic cell-cell adhesion in a Ca2+-independent manner and also mediates heterophilic cell-cell adhesion with CADM3 and PVRL3 in a Ca2+-independent manner. This protein acts as a tumor suppressor in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells. Interaction with CRTAM promotes natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) secretion by CD8+ cells in vitro as well as NK cell-mediated rejection of tumors expressing CADM3 in vivo. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa45-374 from human CADM1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~39.4kD (353aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
