Description Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3A isoform a, also known as MAP1LC3A, is one of the light chain subunits and can associate with either MAP1A or MAP1B. It plays critical roles in neuronal development and in maintaining the balance between neuronal plasticity and rigidity. MAP1LC3A is expressed as two alternatively spliced isoforms that are expressed in testis, brain, heart, liver and skeletal muscle, but are absent in thymus and peripheral blood leukocytes. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-120 of human MAP1LC3A protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
