| Description | Mmitochondrial import receptor subunit TOMM20 homolog, also known as TOMM20, belongs to the Tom20 family. The Tom machinery consists of import receptors for the initial binding of cytosolically synthesized preproteins and a general import pore (GIP) for the membrane translocation of various preproteins into the mitochondria. TOMM20 functions as the transit peptide receptor at the surface of the mitochondrion outer membrane and facilitates the movement of preproteins into the TOM40 translocation pore. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human TOMM20, fused to His-tag at N- terminal expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~16.2kD (144aa) (MALDI-TOF) AA Sequence: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSDRKRRSD PNFKNRLRER RKKQKLAKER AGLSKLPDLK DAEAVQKFFL EEIQLGEELL AQGEYEKGVD HLTNAIAVCG QPQQLLQVLQ QTLPPPVFQM LLTKLPTISQ RIVSAQSLAE DDVE Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
