| Description | Mitochondrial antigen M2 is a cluster of four major mitochondrial innermembrane proteins of approximately 74, 52, 45 and 39kD. Contains the E2 subunit of branched chain 2-oxo acid dehydrogenase, the E2 subunit of the 2-oxo dehydrogenase complex, protein X and the E1a and E1b subunits of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. Other antigens (Sm, RNP, SSA, Jo-1 and SSB) are not detected with ELISA assays. Source: Human Molecular Weight: ~39kD Biological Activity: One unit of activity is the amount of antigen that will generate an absorbance of 1.2 when assayed using a standard procedure for enzyme immunoassay. Activity will vary with assay conditions Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | ||
