Description IMMP2L is a protein involved in processing the signal peptide sequences used to direct mitochondrial proteins to the mitochondria. This protein resides in the mitochondria and is one of the necessary proteins for the catalytic activity of the mitochondrial inner membrane peptidase (IMP) complex. Two variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa38-175 from human IMMP2L, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~18kD (161aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
