| Description | NDuFAF1 is a complex I assembly factor protein. Complex I (NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase) catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q) in the first step of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, resulting in the translocation of protons across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The protein is required for assembly of complex I, and mutations in this protein are a cause of mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa25-327 of human NDUFAF1, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
