Description ERLIN2, also known as SPFH2, is SPFH domain-containing proteins that belong to the prohibitin family. Also, this protein is a ubiquitously expressed 339 amino acid protein that belongs to the band 7/mec-2 family. Localized to lipid raft-like domains in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), ERLIN2 plays a crucial role in the ER-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway that removes metabolically regulated and aberrant proteins from the ER. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa25-339 from human ERLIN2 at N-terminal, fused to His-tag expressed in E.coli.
