| Description | A small molecule that restores tumor suppressor function to mutant p53 proteins. PRIMA-1 acts as an inducer of apoptosis and inhibitor of growth of human tumors with mutant p53. PRIMA-1 restores sequence-specific DNA binding and transactivational activity to mutant p53 proteins at relatively high um-mM concentrations. Solubility: ~100mM (H2O) Molecular Weight: ~185.22 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
