| Description | FAM84B, also known as Family with sequence similarity 84, member B, coprecipitated with a downstream effector of RAS, CRAF. Binding of FAM83B with CRAF disrupted CRAF/14-3-3 interactions and increased CRAF membrane localization, resulting in elevated MAPK and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling. It is an oncogene and potentially represents a new target for therapeutic intervention. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-310 from human FAM84B, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~36.9kD (333aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
