Description			NCS1 is a member of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed predominantly in neurons. This protein regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. It is associated with secretory granules and modulates synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-190 from human NCS1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~24.3kD (213aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
