| Description | NT-3 is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. Murine NT-3 produced from E. coli contains 119 amino acid and having a molecular mass is 13.6kD. Source: Recombinant, mouse NT-3 expressed in E. coli. Biological Actvitity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent induction of choline acetyl transferase activity in rat basal forebrain primary septal cell cultures was found to be in the range of 20-50 ng/ml Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. For long term storage add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer | ||
